Today was North Natomas Little League closing ceremony. It was really really hot! Last year I face painted non-stop by myself. This year I brought someone to help. We painted less than 20 kids. Mike said it's because we didn't use the pop up tent with the "Face Painting" banner.
Yesterday we painted for AAA membership BBQ. It was suppose to be a large event, but less than 50 people showed up. Friday we painted at two different schools.
Learning this business is hard. Sometimes things seem so simple, but they're not. This week I've learned that it is much better to get paid by a company, than to charge a per person fee. I also learned that when Air Conditioning, a table and two chairs are provided, it saves me an hour or work, and is much more pleasant.
Yesterday I placed my first large order of paint to stock. My shopping cart is active on my website and I received my first "real" order from an 11 year old girl in Fairfield. She is an aspiring artist. I've decided to stock the paint at home for now. The warehouse is too hot. One of these days soon I will have a finished air conditioned class room/ office at the warehouse..... one of these days.....
